For my CB radio I wanted to use one that I've had for years and had used inn other vehicles. Once I changed out the stock radio I had space below it. However, I didn't have a bracket I could use to mount the CB. So I decided to build one. You can see the bracket I made underneatch the radio. the DIN slot is exactly 7" wide so the small plate fits perfectly in the slot. 8 Nuts and Bolts are required with 4 L-Brackets. My radio came with a small bracket it used for mounting. I drilled two holes in the plate and mounted the CB bracket to that. That allowed me a little leeway to move the radio left or right as neccessary.

Power for the CB comes from the accessory power lead. The Antenna is routed from under the floormat and up into the rear of the radio.

After mounting the radio I wanted to make a cover for it. Luckily, when I was at Circuit Shitty getting the radio harnesses I asked if they carried blank covers, similiar to the ones they use in the store displays. The salesman volunteered to just give me one of the store ones. I took it of course.

With that bracket I cut out a hole for the CB and then screwed the mike clip on the side. The bracket just slides in but there is enough squeeze that it stays in tight.

Here's what the final console looks like.
